Barn Hunt

What is Barn Hunt?

Barn Hunt is a relatively new sport in the UK. The aim is for you to read your dog’s signals and call out when they’ve found a rat tube. The game takes place in a fenced area with straw bales forming walls, tunnels, and obstacles. Hidden among the bales are up to three types of tubes that all look identical. The tubes are sealed, with holes drilled in them, and they contain either nothing, some rat bedding, or a dead rat (ethically sourced from reptile frozen food suppliers).
