Game Fairs & Breed Stands

Discover the charm of Manchester Terriers at our Game Fairs & Breed Stands.

The Manchester Terrier is a Vulnerable British Native Breed. Although its history dates back to Tudor times many people have not heard about or seen our breed. Our goal is to change this. One way we can do that is by promoting the breed at events such as Country Fairs, Discover Dogs, Pet Shows, and other dog-related events on breed stands.

Discover the Legacy of Manchester Terriers

Every year, we host a variety of breed stands at events across the country. These gatherings offer a fantastic opportunity for Manchester Terrier owners to connect and socialise, while providing an excellent platform to introduce our remarkable breed to a broader audience.

Have you considered joining the BMTC Breed Promotion Team at one of the Country Fairs around the country?  If your dog is sound in character and body, steady around other dogs in close proximity, can be trusted to be fussed and stroked by adults, children and people who may not be used to dogs, and you are able to be on your feet and talk for around 3 hours about life with a Manchester – not to mention a potted breed history (5 Centuries in 60 seconds) and a few interesting facts then please get in touch with one of the Organisers listed.  Please be aware that at some Fairs there may be gun shots fairly close to the Stand.  Whether you can give half a day or camp/caravan for the duration and do 2/3 days on the trot in return for free entry tickets/camping pitch, great craic and entertainment then please get in touch with the Organiser of the Breed Stand you are interested in to discuss further!
