Mooches

Discover Mooches and Their Role in Community Connections

For most of us, encountering another Manchester Terrier (MT) during our walks is a rare treat. These group walks, affectionately known as “Mooches,” were created to bring Manchester Terriers and their owners together, fostering socialisation and fun for all. Each walk typically includes the option to enjoy a café visit, a pub lunch, or a picnic.

The phrase ‘Manchester Mooch’ originated during the inaugural Manchester Terrier walk on Formby Beach. Over time, it has been embraced nationwide as a way to describe lively gatherings of Manchester Terriers, where they come together to enjoy fun-filled adventures and socialize.

Mooches provide a fantastic opportunity for owners and enthusiasts to connect with others who share a passion for MTs, offering a welcoming space to exchange knowledge and experiences about this incredible breed. We also warmly invite other breeds to join us on our Mooches!

Certain group walks are firmly established, while others are still evolving. Explore upcoming walks by checking the events calendar or visiting the British Manchester Terrier Fan Page.
